Margie went white water rafting with Jackie, Lori, and some more of Jackie’s crew.
Kitten and I bought some computer games — Hello Kitty Cutie World, and IronStorm. I leave it to you to figure out who played with which.
Katherine has decided to move seriously into “challenging” mode — asking “why” to every decision, denying pronouncements from above (whether commands, or suggestions as to how words are pronounced). Defiance of her will, whether it’s what to wear, what to eat, or when to sleep, results in a screaming fit. Chiding receives chiding in retort.
Hrm. This is getting old, real fast, both for me (who usually plays Bad Cop anyway) and Margie.
A bit of dialog overheard from upstairs when Margie got home and was giving Katherine her good-night kiss.
“Katherine, you need to go back in your room, right now.“
“No, you go! [Pause. Sound of heavy treads on second floor.] Hey! Put me down!”
Ah, well. This, too, shall pass.
Hey, she got exactly what she wanted… Mommy went to Katherine’s room right now.
To paraphrase Rush’s character in Pirates: “I have fulfilled my part of the bargain, you did not include certain key points within your request.”
Heh.
In asking Margie how the WWR went, she indicated that the girls had so much fun that (a) they want to find other activities to do as a pack, and (b) they might actually invite the guys along next rafting trip. Cool.
(No, really — cool. It sounded like they had a much lower-temp time in the water than I did in the family room …)
Heh. Pack. You make us sound like a bunch of wolves….. I like it!!!
I just felt sorry for our guide being the only man in a boat full of women.
He didn’t seem to disappointed though. 🙂
