Through copious wheedling and arm-twisting, our support and procurement folks talked IBM into shipping us a loaner notebook while mine is sent off to the Depot for repairs (cue shots of Gollum being questioned in Mordor). And since it’s the same model, we can (in fact, have been able to) just pop in my hard drive into the loaner notebook and let me work seamlessly with it in the interim.
IBM reminded us — several times — that it was just a loaner, not a replacement. That’s cool. Aside from internal WiFi, and the faster processor, and the DVD/RW, and … um … hmmmmmm …
