Margie dragged me off to the shower before she went to bed, so my next part will be delayed. In the meantime, some thoughts on Kitten.
First off, I have every intent of stuffing comic books into her hands at all opportunities.
I already have a regular pull for her of Scooby-Doo and Powerpuff Girls. As she grows, other titles will follow.
She loves ’em, by the way. She knows Daddy has his comics, so those are hers. And I feel the same way, so I don’t get all hyper when she leaves them on the floor, reads them until the covers fall off, etc. That’s her lookout.
She’s also getting a good intro to standard comic folk via cartoons. Justice League happens to fall right during her dinner time. She (like her mom) loves Hawk Girl. And she can name all of the JL, even hard ones like “Martian Manhunter.” Though she does tend to call the Flash “the Running Man.”
She also enjoys the Batman and Superman cartoons I have on tape and disc.
Hey, there’s a lot worse stuff she could be watching or reading.
