Cleverly written in media res series opener, as a set of disavowed special ops sorts decide to take their revenge on the government that has them on its death list. Andy Diggle writes fine military action, though Jock’s art is a bit rough to make it a smooth read. I’m looking forward to further issues — especially as Spycraft inspiration …
I predict a movie adaptation if it makes it enough issues for a TPB. Too many good ‘characters’ to pass up for some producer looking for the next ensemble thing. I can hear the lame pitch now.
“It’s ‘Blackhawk Down’ meets ‘Italian Job.’ It’s ‘Goodfellas’ meets ‘Broken Arrow.'”
