Latest resource: Nick’s Fonts (by Nick Curtis). Some very nice retro typefaces here, many of which are free.

  1. I remember my attempt to create an Elvish font back when freeeware font creation programs became available. Very tedious work, and extremely disappointing results (I just don’t have your artistic flair–everything came out lumpy and misshapen).

  2. Font creation is both a science and an art. I’ve never dabbled much in it, both because there are plenty of others doing it, and because it’s dreadfully time-consuming.
