I think I’ve seen one Star Wars movie. I did go to see The Lord of the Rings, but I fell asleep five minutes into the film and didn’t wake up until the credits were rolling. Was that wrong of me?

No, just a sign that you’re a bad reporter with a stupid editor. Ah, well.

  1. The National Post is the Great Shame of Canadian journalism. It began as a vanity project so the publisher, Conrad Black, to lobby for a British Lordship (which makes for a good story in and of itself, especially because the Canadian PM had a personal dislike of the man), and was a house organ for the Right.

It was as close to Fox News as a Canadian paper could be.

Then it was sold to the Global media empire, who were staunch supporters of the Centre-Left-leaning Liberals. I thought the editorial policies would change.

Instead, the Post became more patronizing than ever before.

But you can still wrap fish in it!

  2. Why do Mundanes (at least, those who admit they know nothing and care nothing for Fandom) waste people’s time writing articles which prove only that they know nothing and care nothing for Fandom? That’s like having me go to the Super Bowl or a Monster Tuck Rally to cover it! Pointless!

  3. I’m sure some people find it funny (“Hyuk, hyuk, look at all them stoopid sci fi fans, hyuk!”). For others, it’s a sign of incompetence (“I don’t know how to cover this, so I’ll just make fun of it.”).
