Presidential politics

It’s probably way too early for this, but my impression right now? What he said. Which, let me tell you, irks the hell out of me….

  1. Please, Dean is a much better candidate than Bush. Clark has the stars and can nail the entire war on terror for the b/s it truly is.

Bush hasn’t done one thing to make us safer, other than taking the Taliban down.

    But, oops! They’re back!

Seriously, how can you trust our future to these corrupt folks? You seriously cut them far too much slack, Dave. Bush is an idiot, Cheney is so corrupt as to make Nixon pale in comparison (John Dean, of all people, has called these guys worse than his old boss, who he did TIME for in prison). Condi is a disgrace, and Dumsfeld? He’s like a Strangelovian character writ large.

Economy? Tanked. Foreign policy? Tanked. War on terror? Very little progress. Iraq? Not part of the WoT, and surely you even see that now.

Dean or Clark, with the other as the running mate. They’ll torch Bush and have solid credentials.

  2. Since I anticipate much of 2004, especially the latter half, will be involved in the discussion, I’d rather not discuss it at length now. No, really. I could wax on at length on each sentence above, and the conversation will just have to be repeated again. So I’ll refrain. For the moment. Really.

Or at least until the Dems figure out who they’re running. Then it’s a worthwhile discussion of alternatives. (I suppose that includes me, since I’m a registered Dem, but since I expect the nomination will be more than wrapped up by the time our primaries come around, I’m not agonizing over it.)

Oh, wait. We use a caucus system in this state. I’m agonizing over it even less.
