And this one is going to bother me forever … or for as long as I live in this neighborhood (which, with luck, will be congruous):
The new Saturn dealership going up across County Line (feh) has its sign up. Big Saturn logo, and underneath …
“Of Highlands Ranch”
What’s wrong with this picture? Take a look at the web page (still unfinished since, well, the place isn’t open yet).
Not getting it yet?
In English titles (e.g., the title of a company, or a building, or a site), prepositions such as “of” are never capitalized. Never, ever, ever. Unless, oddly, they are the first word.
So either this is a company called “Of Highlands Ranch,” or it’s “Saturn of Highlands Ranch.” I suspect it’s the latter, in which case, the “o” of “of” should be lower case.
Lower case. Got it?
I am going to have to look at that freakin’ capital “O” in “Of” for years. Years, I tell you. And it’s going to bug me.
Every. Single. Time.
Okay, that’s enough of that.
Could be worse.
Could be “Of Highland’s Ranch”!
Well, you got me there.
