When you’ve been working on a blog redesign for a few days, using a test index file to see how it would look, and then go back to your regular blog index in passing, and say, “Hey, y’know, I like this old design a heck of a lot better than where I’m at with this other …”

… it’s probably time to go back to square one.

Perhaps I’ll just tweak some fonts and the font-variable-size thang, and leave it at that. A rev of the current version, rather than a ground-up redesign. Until I see somethiung that I really want to swipe.

  1. Just out of curiosity…why do your comments open up the individual archive template, and in a new window? (Which lately does not seem to want to work for Moz Firefox…it just churns and churns, never opens…I have to use the permalink to comment.)

  2. Because I’d rather do comments in the full individual archive than in a pop-up window. I know for myself I like to refer back to the source post, and I don’t like the way the pop-up tends to make the index page bounce around.

And I tend to prefer to open up extra windows rather than do things in the same window.

In other words, it’s all about me. 🙂

I’ve noticed some occasional problems with things not opening up properly of late (IE) but just churning. I’m not quite sure why.
