The long-languishing Amber Diceless Roleplaying Game may finally be getting a shot in the arm as Phage Press (Erick Wujick) turns publication rights over to Guardians of Order.
To which I can only say it’s about damned time. GOO will hopefully be able to revitalize interest in the game, but even if they destroy it completely (Tri-Stat ADRPG?), at least they’ll do something with it.
More discussion here.
I hope they just reprint it as is, myself. I also hope they somehow negotiate things so that the various “Amberzine” articles can be reprinted.
My stupidest RPG-related move: Selling my collection during one fiscal crisis. Should have sold Star Fleet Battles instead!
Doh!
Unfortunately, the deal with the Estate limits the number of copies of Amberzine n a very draconian fashion. I wouldn’t count on any reprints.
A pity, that, though if the publish that prequel crap, certaily the Estate might consider the Amberzine reprints.
Ah, well. I’m (frankly) more interested in the game system news. At least nostalgically.
