Mugtada al-Sadr is at it again:
The Shiite Muslim cleric wanted on murder charges threatened on Friday to launch suicide attacks if U.S. troops attack him and his forces in the holy city of Najaf.
[…] “When we are forced to do so and when our city and holy sites are attacked, we will all be timebombs in the face of the enemy.”
If he promised to take the lead on that, it might just be worth it (not to mention rather refreshing).
As long as the Shrub is there, leading the way with sword in the air, yelling, “Charge!”
Well, that’s pleasant. I take it, Scott, you think that the coalition forces are engaged in suicide bomb attacks? I can think of no other logical train of thought that would lead to such a comment as yours, but then perhaps I am mistaken in thinking “logic” was involved.
I think there is a distinction between urging folks to victory, and urging folks to blow themselves up.
