Back in mid-February, some dice went missing at our house. A whole flock of D6s, in fact, about a dozen of them [Correction: Katherine informs me it was 16], which had been in a frisbee on the coffee table, but now were vanished “softly and silently away.” Margie, I, and several good friends tossed the entire ground floor of the house looking for them, since we needed them for another InSpectres game (which is why they had been out in the family room), and they were some of my nicer dice.

Nada. Both Katherine and Justin — who had been watching her during the most of the probable time they’d vanished — pled innocence. Like I said, that was back in February.

Periodically, folks would ask me if the dice had shown up. Nope.

So today Margie is busy working on the computer, and Katherine is over at her computer, and Margie hears … a noise. She looks over, and there’s Katherine playing with a bunch of dice.

MARGIE: Katherine, where did you get those?
KATHERINE: They were in here. [Indicates zipper pocket of the CD case where she keeps her computer games]
MARGIE: Mommy and Daddy were looking for those.
KATHERINE: Oh. Sorry.

I did predict that they would show up, sooner or later. And so they did.

Time for another InSpectres game.

  1. Funny!

    Oh, those dice…

So the same CD case that has been on the mantle for the past two months, and you have probably picked up and put away about a dozen times. Next time when we go searching for thing’s we’ll make sure to look inside of stuff, instead of just under.

    Good to know.

In other news I left all of my Spycraft books last night when I was busy putting things in a “carry to the car” configuration. So next Sunday I’ll do all my raise notations.
