Not that he says much, aside from that he’ll be getting more details. That provides Rev. Armstrong down at Ascension the opportunity to rattle sabres about more parishes fleeing the Apostasy That Is the Episcopal Church if O’Neill doesn’t “take action.”

Meanwhile, I’m pretty sure there are poor to be clothese, hungry to be fed, and good news to be spread somewhere in Colorado. Pity folks can’t pay attention to those little details.

  1. Well Torkelson has certenly found a willing mouthpiece in Armstrong. And it was so nice of were to stir the pot and name names. Sounds like she (Torkelson) is providing cover for some “sort” of Armstrong led political upheaval in the diocese (like taking the seven churches mentioned in the article and leaving the Episcopal Church so they don’t have to be anywhere near any homosexuals).

  2. Rev. Armstrong, as rector of the second-largest Episcopal congregation in the diocese, has demonstrated over the years strong abilities in getting his concerns known throughout the diocese. Many of the more conservative elements in the diocese look to him as one of their spokesfolk.

    As to the news coverage — well, if there’s not Drama and Controversy and Folks Up in Arms, then it’s not really news, is it? Even on the Religion pages …
