As I pulled off the Interstate coming into work this morning, I … uh, blinked, uh, looked again, uh, checked the calendar …
Snow? Snow? Drifted? Piles of it? In June?
I figured out after a few moments that it was actually hail. Hail. Lots and lots of hail.
Tall hail drifts were reported by the Colorado Mills shopping mall. Hail diameter ranged from 0.75 inches to 1.5 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service also reported that the storm produced rainfall rates of 2 inches in 45 minutes in some spots.
[…] CDOT snowplows also were called to clear hail that had piled up on Denver West Parkway in Lakewood.
Things stayed high and dry down in our neck of the woods. But … amazing. And, in the shade, it’s still out there in the grass. Wow.
Lots of tree foliage damage, though. Tons of leaves on the ground. Along with the snowhaildrifts.

Amazing. Thanks.
