Either/Or

Because we all need another meme today:

The Rules: Pick one or the other. “Both” is not an acceptable answer; this is a gun to the head scenario. “Neither” is only acceptable if you have no information on either choice or don’t understand the options. As always, feel free to provide reasons for your choices.

1. Tea: Hot or Iced – Iced, not sweet. Hot tea is okay — it’s a fine choice when visiting another office, given the variability (but usual misery) of coffee, and I drink a lot of it with milk when visiting the UK, but in general, ice tea is my restaurant refillable-drink-of-choice.
2. Spider-Man or Superman – Supes. Spidey is too whiny.
3. John Lennon or Paul McCartney – McCartney. A hell of a lot less pretentious.
4. The Beatles or The Rolling Stones – The Beatles. The Stones give me a headache.
5. Newsweek or TIME or U.S. News and World Report – Hey, that’s three! Um … Newsweek, probably, though I used to like USNWR and had a subscription to Time for … uh … a time.
6. DJ Jazzy Jeff or The Fresh Prince – Uh … Will Smith was the Fresh Prince, right? I’ll go with that one.
7. Dostoevsky or Tolstoy – Just shoot me.
8. Horses or Cows – Dairy products are my friend. Cows.
9. Lemons or Limes – Limes, thanks. Though I like both.
10. Catwoman: Julie Newmar or Eartha Kitt – Eartha Kitt had a faboo purr, but I have to go with the first and best, Miss Newmar.
11. Wallpaper or Paint – Paint. A lot easier.
12. Radiohead or Coldplay – Um … are those musical ensembles?
13. Conan O’Brien or Craig Kilborn – I prefer sleep.
14. Widescreen or Full Screen – Widescreen, dammit! Pan-n-scan is an abomination on par with colorzing.
15. Red or Blue – Blue. Except when I prefer red. But usually blue. Wait, was this a political question?
16. Salsa: Hot or Mild – Hot, as long as I can still taste it.
17. Peanuts or Pecans – Pecans, definito. Mmmmm … pecan pie …
18. “America the Beautiful”? or “God Bless America”? – As a Coloradoan, I’d be run out of the state if I didn’t choose AtB. Fortunately, I prefer it.
19. Lynrd Skynrd or Neil Young – Um … Neil Young. I guess. They sing, right?.
20. Checks or Cash – Cash, if I must (I hate writing checks) — but what about plastic?
21. Paper or Plastic – Paper, usually. Makes a good liner for the kitchen garbage.
22. Golf or Tennis – Golf. No question.
23. Flowers or Candy – I prefer to give the former and receive the latter.
24. Howard the Duck or Ishtar – Never saw Ishtar, but I was one of three Americans who actually enjoyed Howard.
25. Hall or Oates – No opinion.
26. Captain or Tenille – Tenille, definitely. The Captain alwayss kind of gave me the creeps.
27. In a chick’s hair: Clippies or Scrunchies – You know, a strong medicated shampoo will … oh, I get it. Scrunchies. Easier to nuzzle.
28. Fannypacks or Spandex Biking Shorts – For me? Fanny pack. On the appropriate other fanny, my opinion might change.
29. Science Fiction or Fantasy – Fantasy, I suppose, to read. SF for TV, though.
30. Jason Seaver or Steven Keaton – Who?
31. Mike Seaver or Alex P. Keaton – Never watched Growing Pains, so I gotta go for Alex.
32. Rainbow Brite or Strawberry Shortcake – Do not give Jackie any more ideas! Um … Strawberry Shortcake.
33. G.I. Joe or Transformers – Go, Joe!
34. Dawson or Pacey – Never watched the show. How did he stand so casually in that boat, anyway?
35. Sunny skies or Rainy day – You can keep dry a lot easier than you can keep cool. Rainy day.
