Ellen DeGeneres is to star in a remake of Oh, God!
DeGeneres will star as God in a remake of the 1977 comedy “Oh, God!” The original starred George Burns as the creator and John Denver as a supermarket manager tapped as a new prophet.
Aside from whether the film actually needs to be remade or not, I can see where it could be amusing. And for those who find the idea of DeGeneres as God to be utter blasphemy, many thought the same thing about George Burns at the time, too. Let alone John Denver as his new prophet …
