I’m sure this is out there electronically somewhere, but I’ll type it out in full form the LA Times, since I don’t have any time to look it up:
A cleaner at London’s Tate Britain modern art gallery [I assume they mean the Tate Modern] threw out a bag of trash that was part of an artwork, British media reported. The transparent bag — full of newspaper, cardboard and other paper — was part of a work by artist Gustav Metzger called a re-creation of his first public demonstration of auto-destructive art.
The bag was recovered, but it had been damaged and Metzger had to replace it with another one, a Tate spokesman said.
This story has no lines in it that aren’t funny. This will have a smile on my face all day.

Must have been the unoffical ‘honey I cleaned out the garage now get off my back’ display.
It was the most enjoyable bit of the in-laws’ LA Times.
