Hrm. Despite not actually changing any code (as far as I know), the “Remember me!” bits in the comments here seems to be distinctly not remembering me. Or, presumably, you. I’ll see what I can do.
Name, please?
Hrm. Despite not actually changing any code (as far as I know), the “Remember me!” bits in the comments here seems to be distinctly not remembering me. Or, presumably, you….
Yes, it is most annoying…
It still works for me.
Test, to see if it works now.
Test to see if it works now.
test 1
nope
This is yet another test.
test 2
Huzzah!
It works again!
Yup. Nothing like cutting and pasting the current code to make it work like it should. The old code was full of cruft from my original MT installation and old bits that weren’t available then, so it’s not altogether surprising it broke.
Next thing to do is to get the formatting buttons back, but that might be a small while.
At present, TypeKey registration is optional — and, since I’m not requiring it, a bit pointless — but available.
Should I expect that your changes would make the site forget me until I ask it to remember me again? When I posted earlier, the system remembered me, but not this time.
P.S. I like the new photo with the cub scout hat. Or maybe it’s not new and I just noticed it. Anyway, it reminded me of my days as a cub scout.
1. Yes, what I did probably invalidated anyone’s cookies that still worked (I’ve no idea why yours still worked, Dave).
2. Thanks. Yes, it’s new — my mom dug it out of an old box and brought it out last visit.
One last test.
Testy testy …
Information seems to have vanished, let’s see if I’m remembered…
Yep, it seems to have me.
TypeKey: One thing I’ve noticed in other blogs that use it–it cuts out the URL of your website when you post a comment. So you have to type that in (or cut-and-paste it in) each time. Very annoying for zero apparent usefulness.
It does seem to not carry over the website you define in your TK profile, but it did autofill it in my comment screen here. Hmmm. Let’s try it.
Seems to remember.
At the moment, there’s not a lot of need or use for using TK here (except to generate the little profile icon), but no harm, either. And if it turns out I need comment registration, I may well make use of it.
