While the previously collected Farscape Season 1 (22 eps) will set you back $120 at Amazon, and the old partial season sets (e.g., 4-5 eps) used to cost you $36, or even just two eps for $22, the new “Starburst Edition” sets — 7 eps a pop — will now also only set you back only $22. Muuuuuuch better.
The pricing of TV episode DVDs has been all over the map, but we might be beginning to see some sanity getting into the process. At least as far as Farscape goes. Good news for everyone, except the folks who already bought these …
The Starburst editions aren’t complete episode sets, as you’ve noted, but collections of episodes that whomever thought might go well together.
And a quick MySimon search shows that you can get box sets for less than $100. Still expensive, yes. But worth it. Now I just need to buy my own sets!
Dave, I’m getting a “We’re sorry…” blurb off of the starburst link.
There’s a space in the URL, it appears.
Dagnabbit. Fixed.
Looking at the descriptions on the Starburst editions, I don’t get that info, Julia. The comments seem to be that these are going to be full-season (3 per season) releases, and that’s the impression I get from other searches on it.
Picked up the first two Set’s on the way to gaming this evening and the they are the first 14 Ep’s in order for $26.
So, well worth buying.
