Who hasn’t wondered how their life might not have changed had events, or decisions we made, been different?

Craig Robinson has actually gone to the trouble of speculating out several branching timelines, both in his past and into his future.

There’s sort of a fascination to it that makes me both want to do something similar and shy away from it. Bottom line, I’m actually damned happy with my life and where it’s led me, and short of “wins lottery” or similar strokes of fortune, I don’t particularly want to dwell or speculate how things might have been better (or worse, for that matter).

  1. I’ve identified several crucial branching points in my life, any one of which would have prevented my marriage, had I made the appropriate choice. I’ve never figured out how my life would have been different, though, except that I probably wouldn’t have had an emotional breakdown and I should still have my great collection of Silver Age comics (now worth a small fortune).
