Yesterday? Temps in the high 60s. Sunny. Shorts and t-shirt weather, doing clean-up in the backyard (three cans full), going for a walk, beautiful.
This morning? Windy, snowy, about two inches accumulated on the ground, more coming down, stuff blown against the back window …
UPDATE: Scraping snow with the bottom of the Subaru on the way to church, and with it still coming down, we decided to be Safe rather than Sacred. We stopped by the store, then made our way home. Lots and lot of blowing snow affecting visibility, and it’s still coming down.
Sounds like a snug-at-home, light-a-fire, make-some-pancakes, play-CoH kind of day.
The snowstorm in Denver made the news on NPR today.
High 60s is shorts weather, eh, Dave? You’re definitely not a So Cal boy anymore! The sissies here start bundling up and whining “It’s freezing!” when the temp drops to 68. (I wear shorts year-round, unless it’s raining really hard.)
It wasn’t quite as bad in Fort Collins. My kids are bummed when seeing all the Denver schools closing, though.
Yeah, I heard from Boulder Dude that it was only an inch or so there. We had major snow down at the house, and I’m planning on working from home tomorrow.
On the down side, Katherine was supposed to have her “kindergarten buddy day” tomorrow morning, where she spends the morning with an elementary school kid getting the lay of the land at her new school for the fall. Shame — I hope they reschedule, if the school is closed.
All of Littleton Schools are closed tomorrow. So no buddy day no preschool
I think that all Denver Metro schools are closed today.
