Snow fell for most of the day, with occasional heavy gusts of wind. The winter storm warning got extended out to 9 p.m., which is, indeed, when it seemed to stop snowing. The official Centennial Airport snow depth is 14″.
School district’s closed, so Kitten’s free for today.
I’m certainly not planning on driving in — though I still have to work, alas.
UPDATE: Hey, look! We’re famous! Hi, Mom!
Funny thing is, there had been serious talk of my flying out to Tennessee on business yesterday afternoon, at which times the airports were closed. Which makes me think that Margie pre-ordered this storm …
Even though I got up early because of the reports of doom on the radio, the drive in was fine, and took the same as any day.
The 3″ in Boulder (1″ yesterday, 2″ overnight), turned into 12″ of wind blown blizzard on the other side of the mesa. So I can how the nice gentle snow storm in boulder could have been all sorts of blizzard elsewhere. The two buildings at work have snow plastered all along the east side.
