According to the Dead People Server, Frank Gorshin passed away yesterday. One of my favorite character actors from days gone by (particular his work in Batman, of course, not to mention his Emmy-nominated turn on Star Trek), it’s a shame to see him go.

Aww, he was my favorite of the wacky bunch of Batman villains.
Yeah. Far zanier than the Joker, and, with his oddly shifting cadence of speech and tone, a lot creepier than anyone else in the cast. A great physical actor, too.
Obit from the LA Times. Evidently he got Emmy nominations for both the Riddler and for Bele. Cool.
