Initial framing on the deck. You can see where the step is. What you can’t see from this angle is how much wider the deck looks, from the back door, than the old one. Which, of course, it is. The piers haven’t been poured yet, so the extension on the right isn’t framed out yet, either. But it’s looking great.

On a parallel note, the guy I hired to do the tree debris hauling came today. I also hired him to chop down a couple of the aspens that were dead, dead, dead, and he did so quite nice. So kudos to Kevin “Ox” Oxley and my recommendations for using him if you need trees cut down or hauled off (720-298-4382).
