Ran across a reference on Zak’s blog to a Mac program that will rename digital camera pics with the date-time stored as EXIF info for them. Since I don’t have a Mac, I did a quick search in Google and found something for Windows that does the same thing.
This is extremely sweet, especially if you have multiple digital cameras (I wish I had had this for integrating Jim and Ginger’s Africa pics). Even if you don’t, it’s handy for identifying persistently when a picture was taken (vs. when it was last edited). Definitely something I’m downloading.
