By disdain?
By screams and waving fists?
By riots and death threats and burning stuff?
By trying to ridicule someone else in return?
Naw.
By trying to out-ridicule others ridiculing you.
An Iranian paper responds with a Holocaust cartoons contest –
– Now a group of Israelis announce their own anti-Semitic cartoons contest!
Amitai Sandy (29), graphic artist and publisher of Dimona Comix Publishing, from Tel-Aviv, Israel, has followed the unfolding of the “Muhammad cartoon-gate” events in amazement, until finally he came up with the right answer to all this insanity – and so he announced today the launch of a new anti-Semitic cartoons contest – this time drawn by Jews themselves!
“We’ll show the world we can do the best, sharpest, most offensive Jew hating cartoons ever published!” said Sandy “No Iranian will beat us on our home turf!”
Bravo.

I figured out in grade school that the quickest way to keep other people from teasing you or making fun of you was to be better at it yourself. Self-deprecating humor tended to keep other people from mocking me ( because I did a better job then they did, they just looked silly trying it ) and it made people laugh and they enjoyed hanging out. *shrugs* Weird but true.
Wait…were the Danish cartoonists Jewish? Or something else? Maybe it’s just easier to make fun of Jewish people than it is to make fun of Danes.
Evidently the Iranian call for “ridicule the Holocaust” cartoons came from some grand conflation of Western sensibilities and their domination by Evil Jewish Interests, i.e., it was meant to shock and dismay those Decadent and Disrespectful Europeans as much as the Mohammed cartoons had dismayed them.
