Only forwards.
So a while back we (well, I) got Katherine this “how to draw Finding Nemo characters” book. This afternoon, when she was bubbling over with “I’ve been home all day sick but I feel much better” energy, she pulled open the book and started drawing.
“I’m gonna draw Dory. Only from forwards instead of sideways.”
And, aside from Dory having two tails — she did.

We have a similar book for the Walt Disney movie “Dinosaur”. Laura has worked her way through it several times and the stuff looks pretty good. We’re still trying to convince her that she doesn’t need to keep the “grid lines” in when the picture is mostly done.
