So last night was kind of fun, albeit in a serious way. The gent who was key to us doing the Cotton Patch Gospel last year is struggling with some health problems. So most of the cast got together last night, had a quick practice session, and then went to his house to sing him some of the songs from the show. He was very touched.
The leader of our ensemble also handed out audio CDs and DVDs of one of our performances (Sunday, I think), which means I can torment the family out in California with it come the holidays.
And, while all together, the subject came up (again) of putting the show on for the diocesan convention this October. And I think I agreed, which just goes to show how insane we religious types can get …
