Bits and pieces …
- I’ve begun collecting together in stacks (well, new stacks) the various comics and TPBs to review. I’m trying to decide whether to stick with the review codes I’ve used in the past (subject for another post) or come up with something more snazzy.
- Need to stock up on Coke Zero. And something to nibble on.
- I’m presently at 10 pledgers and $377 in verified pledges. Woot! That puts in in something like the top 15% of B’thon participants. Many thanks to you all (and I’ll be doing a shout-out, by first name at least, of those donors at the appropriate time — unless you ask me not to). Still more time for more pledges! (And, for what it’s worth, I’ve pledged to at least two other B’thonners — plenty of worthy causes out there to go around.)
- Need to clean off the table.
- Not sure what Margie and Katherine are going to do with the day. There’s a big block party that evening that I’m encouraging Margie to go to. She’s been a real sport about this whole thing.
-
My two B’thon t-
shortsshirts arrived — one from the Blogathon itself, one from the EFF. Expect pictures. - Which reminds me — when I did this last year, I don’t think I had my Treo — which means that the couple of pictures I posted were a relatively laborious affair. In theory, I could get away this year with doing a bunch of cell phone pics. That would be goofy, though (and, given airblogging’s occasional unreliability, unwise). So if I do any snapshots, I’ll try not to count them toward the cause.
- It bugs me that everyone is saying, “I’ll be doing 48 posts at the Blogathon.” I suppose that’s true — if you don’t do the first post. There are indeed 48 half-hour periods in 24 hours, but if you kick things off at the top of the ‘Thon, that works out to 49. I promise you all at least 49 posts. What a deal!
- Last year’s post titles were all take-off of classic Lee-Kirby comic titles. I think I’ll be going back to something more pedestrian this year (since it was kind of a stretch last year as it was).
- I think that’s all for now.
I’m not sure just what “t-shorts” are, but I look forward to seeing pictures of you wearing them.
Well, you know, long about the 20th hour or so, I begin to get a little loopy …
