So a week or so back, I went through the blog list at the Blogathon site, to see if there were any interesting folks or blogs I could recommend. Here are a few:
- Les, of course, at Stupid Evil Bastard. Les is doing his normal grab bag of entertaining topics pointing out technology developments and stupid people and ideologies. He’s blogging for Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, which I think is an eminently worthy cause.
- Devin is at El Blog de Los Amigos. No particular theme I can describe, but entertaining. Devin’s blogging for Hello Win Column, which hosts cancer patients at Texas Rangers games.
- ePiscoSours is an Episcopalian who blogs about this-and-that — maybe not quite as this-and-thatish as this Episcopalian, but still interesting. And anyone with the tag line “Searching for spirituality in the Episcopal Church while still enjoying pisco sours in this world” is worth a read. Blogging for Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation, a group seeking to eradicate poverty by pursuing the UN’s Millennium Development Goals.
Are there more interesting sites out there? Probably so. I had a few others I’d tagged that, in going back, I’m not seeing much to draw me back, but I might be surprised in the later hours of the ‘Thon.
I’ve not heard from my Blog Monitor yet, so I’ll give an honorary shout-out to Les’s, Teresa at the Fat Girl Blog, who’s blogging as well for Modest Needs, which provides small-gift help to assist people getting by in an emergency. Nice.
(listening to: Heart, “I Love You” from Brigade)
(listening to: Stevens, Cat, “Morning Has Broken” from Cat Stevens – Greatest Hits)
ack! sorry i missed commenting in my earlier rounds! don’t worry- i’ve been stalking you since this whole thing began 😉 i even pimped you over at http://www.theyellowdarts.com monitor’s blog.
Ah, cool! I figured you were either busy or the subtle, silent, stalking type. Nice to have you aboard, and thanks for the, um, pimping. 🙂
Elegy’s over here doing some nice blogging on behalf of Pit Bull Rescue Central. Go take a visit, folks.
And thanks for the call-out from Les.
