Our morning and early afternoon were taken up helping Jackie look at houses and condos. It was very entertaining — all the best parts of house hunting while not having to personally worry about, well, actually buying a house. Hope we were more helpful than annoying.
We spent the afternoon and night at Elitch Gardens for Margie’s company picnic thang. A certain measure of fun, tempered only by (a) Kitten being about 47″ tall and a huge number of the rides being limited to 48″ and taller, (b) the rather awful (well, by Disney standards) level of upkeep and “show” of the park, and (c) the fact that it was windy and stunningly cold — by the time we got home, it was in the high 40s.
I’ve decided that, while I enjoy things that hurtle me in a given direction really fast and send me around tight corners and the like, I’m not so much into things that send me in a lot of directions in a quick sequence, including spinning around. Katherine, however, is fearless (and/or vertigo-less).
And, that said, Katherine had a blast, so, perforce, we did, too. 🙂
Her words, as she sacked out on the Light Rail coming home: “Thank you for letting me stay up so late, Daddy.”
You all were much more helpful than you can imagine! Sounds like round two some night after work this week. I’ll let you know when as soon as I can.
I’m glad I could help. Like I said, it was fun. Saturday was way too long a day for me, all told, but I wouldn’t have traded away either part of it, which is part of my dilemma.
Thursday night is currently out for me. Aside from that, I’m trying to clear out my schedule. 🙂
