While I’m not nearly enough of a tech/news/finance wonk to have any great insight into what the Google acquisition of YouTube will really mean in the long run, it does make me feel a lot more confident that the service will be around a while longer — and, if I were a content-creator, I’d feel a lot better about posting stuff up there.

Of course, it may also mean that Google is about to inherit eleventy-dozen now-much-bigger law suits for all the copyrighted material posted up there. Or maybe not. But, presumably, they did the math.
