Things may get a scosh quieter around here

First off, the Ks are coming into town today, staying for over a week (through Thanksgiving weekend). That means less hanging on the computer at home, plus more other activities. This visit’s installment of “This Old House” will be turning the office into the new guest room, complete with a Murphy bed, which will let the old guest room turn into Katherine’s new room, which will let Katherine’s new room turn into a craft room.

So lots of packing and moving of Stuff is on the agenda, plus painting plus construction. I’ll be taking some days off, too, plus the holidays, which will likely mean less blogging here.

Plus, I’ve a couple of creative projects online (this month’s NaNoWriMo Storyball, plus a Play-by-Forum game) that are taking up some of my attention.

But that’s not all. As a birthday gift to Margie, the Ks are going to watch over Katherine Friday and Saturday, which means that Margie and I get to go off on a little mini-romantic-getaway. Woot! Should be fun, but I suspect minimal blogging (except, perhaps, for photos).

So likely my writing (and reading) around here will be a bit sketchier than usual. Apologies in advance, and I’ll try to make what I *do* write about all the more entertaining.

  1. Heh. All it takes is the mention of a Murphy bed to make me think (in the appropriate voice) “Howsomever, if you happen to sleep in a Murphy bed, and Murphy is a night watchman who demands his bed back in the daytime, then you must train elsewhere.”

I assume Dave remembers that. Anyone else? Anyone? Anyone?
