Say hi. Drink coffee. Check e-mail in basement.
Go upstairs. Work on carving up carpet that needs to be taken out in the new office.
Visit Home Depot. Buy a few hundred dollars more of stuff.
Come back. Say hi to Doyce and Jackie, over for Game Day After Thanksgiving. Work a bit more. Wave hi as Margie and Ginger play “Settlers of Catan” with Jackie and Doyce.
Go back to Home Depot, solo. Buy more stuff, more melaimine, more trim (about another hundred dollars worth). (Home Depot will, I assure you, meet their profit expectations this quarter.)
Come back. Look at what Jim as been doing. Yay! Stuff is constructed!
Folks have brought up boxes of Christmas Decor. Jim and I put up the tree. Jim and I try to figure out the string of lights that’s not working. Jim and I break a bulb on another string. Jim and I figure out how to make that string work again.
Jim and I start putting decorations onto the tree. Katherine comes out to help. Eventually, everyone else comes out and helps. I pull up my PC and start playing Christmas music.
Wine slurping and Christmas decor. Doyce and Kaylee leave. More decor. Thanksgiving leftovers. Yum!
