The roads were like that all over the place Tuesday and Wednesday. Couple that with the fact that it hardly ever snows and it was a fun time. It’s interesting to watch less than 3 inches of snow paralyze a community. Having chain restrictions in the city is also loads of fun.

So why didn’t anyone go to the top of the hill and tell people not to drive down that street? Instead they’re all standing around looking at the carnage or taking video of the destruction.

And an amazing, unexpected, happy ending.

Three weeks ago, our 17yo, pudgy, arthritic Siberian slipped past me thru an open door, undetected. Her absence wasn't noticed until the next morning and there was no sign of her.

We had, frankly, lost hope.

This afternoon, a neighbor some houses away connected the dots between a poster I had put up and the cat that was hanging out in their window well, and contacted me.

And it was our cat, and she's now home (and getting much pampering).

Whew!
