I managed to do a serious number on my left hand Saturday morning, scraping off several sizable patches of skin as I carried laundry downstairs (heavy baskets, wide load, decorative woodwork, you know the drill). It was sort of the next step up from banking my knuckles.
The funny thing is, I had no idea of how many daily activities involve holding, touching, or somehow otherwise contacting the back of one’s hand. Now I do.
Ow! Forced awareness is not much fun.
Few years ago I broke my scapula. Never really thought much about what a scapula does. Now I know.
