My collection of Blogathon mugs. I’ve only used one (this year’s on the right) so far today — but Margie made a point of setting up more coffee for me for later.
Trivia note: In 2003 and 2005, the CafePress big mugs had handles to the right when the printing faced you. In 2006 and 2007, the handles are on the left.
So, for me (since I hold my mug in my right hand), it’s the difference between the printing facing me (with the old mugs) or facing others (with the new mugs). Which is odd. Was it a random change, an intentional one, how does it affect most folks, and how should the mugs be?
(listening to: Barry, John, “Moviola” from Moviola)
(listening to: Enigma, “Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!” from Enigma 3 – Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!)
(listening to: Original Broadway Cast, “But, Mr. Adams” from 1776)
(listening to: Clannad, “Almost Seems (Too Late To Turn)” from Macalla)
I think the weirdest is when the printing is across from the handle, so neither the drinker nor his imagined across-the-table companion fully sees the design.
Yeah … though I suppose then people can see it when you’re carrying it from the coffee room to your desk.
