Watching, from my hotel, the Republican / YouTube debate.
Yeesh.
Not sure if the questions were scarier, or the answers.
And as I watch the candidates lurch off to the Right — with only the most occasional appeal to a more centrist position (from Rudy, natch), I can only conclude that pretty much anyone the Dems are likely to put up — my most or least favorite — would be preferable to this gang of idiots.
I’m just sayin’ …
“I firmly reject torture, but I’m not willing to tell terrorists what I think torture is.” Thanks for that clear (paraphrased) moral position, Gov. Romney.
I did love hearing Tool McCain getting booed when he attacked Paul. ;P I Wonder if it dawned on him that no one but a bunch of crazies in Washington support the war anymore.
Sadly, the YouTube debates have been the best two so far since voters get to ask the questions instead off the Talking head idiots like Timmeh, Wolf and Matthews and they gave more time to the lesser Candidates. Or CNN planting stupid questions and making the Audience ask them instead of what they wanted to ask. Personally I think that here on out, all of the debates should be Audience only question asking, and the Beltway Deb’s can just bite their tongues.
Yeah, and to bad the Deadline for the questions was before the Latest ignored by the Press Rudy scandel broke yesterday.
I thought Rudy came off horribly in the debate. Not that any of them were covered in glory, but he just came across as a real jerk.
Ummm…
Dave, he is a real jerk.
I live in the suburbs of NY and can confirm that Rudy is a jerk…Funny thing I don’t get, when Rudy ran for mayor of ny his commercials clearly said ‘LIBERAL’! How are the republican’s reconciling this?
I have to say, this is going to be one of the most interesting elections in my lifetime considering the current environment and the candidates…
Okay, what I mean is that he came off as *only* a jerk. Though he did have a vaguely amusing commercial.
