I appreciate that you now have a “green” on-line version of your magazine that I can view rather than the paper version I get each week. And that’s neat, and I’m sure that works for a lot of your readers. But it doesn’t work for me. Sorry.
But if you send me one more e-mail about it — like you’ve been sending me, oh, weekly for the last couple of months … I will start asking for quadruple paper copies and burn them in my back yard to add more smoke to the atmosphere, I sweartogod …
I have told Information Week to stop sending me dead-tree copies for years. All the content I want comes in by email but apparently their printing/shipping/database people can’t communicate with…
Oh, forget it. I guess I’ll stop receiving the magazine when they go out of business…
Honestly speaking, I don’t have the time to read a fraction of the mags I get. I’ve let a lot of the trades lapse, but a few have made it almost easier to re-up than not. But if I have a sub to eWeek or Network World, etc., it’s going to be a dead-tree edition because I’m more likely to pay attention to something in my snail mail box than in my inbox, at least to glance at the cover.
