After a week of working hard (and partying somewhat hard), we’re getting into the weekend. Still working most of the day today (Saturday), but we are supposed to be freed up by around 2, and tomorrow is a free day. There are no particularly organized plans, but we’ve been encouraged (for social and safety reasons) not to go hallooing off on our own.
Tentative plans, with at least one group, are this afternoon to do some shopping here in Leiden — word is that most shopping places roll up the sidewalks at 5 on Saturday and aren’t really open on Sunday — then drop stuff off at the hotel and head off to Amsterdam to tour the Obligatory Spicy Tourist Bits.
Not sure of the plans for tomorrow. That same group is then going down to Antwerp tomorrow, but I’d rather head back up into Amsterdam and tour the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, etc. No particular takers for that yet, so we’ll see how it goes.
