My boss and co-workers are amused that my idea of “casual dress” for an off-site meeting is shorts, Hawaiian shirts, and Berkies….
So I have to ask what the others are wearing – Dockers and Polo Shirt?
Hard to say at the moment. My Boss and Fellow Co-Worker came in their Pasadena duds, sans ties (and the latter changed into sandals before heading to dinner). Another Co-Worker was in a polo shirt and jeans.
I’ll update tomorrow.
Hell ***Dave, that outfit is my daily office attire where I currently work. One of the few perks of the new job. It’s rather amazing being able to come into work in jean shorts with a Hawaiian shirt and sandals on.
To be fair to Dave this is an offsite and not really billed as “Business Casual” In the past the meeting have been held on the deck of the bosses house. I would bet they are more shocked that he’s not freezing. (It’s always cold and damp in Portland right 🙂
1. Actually, it was refreshingly cool in Portland this evening — though I’ve been changing into Dockers slacks.
2. Most of the folks are doing jeans + polo shirts, or similar dress for the ladies. I did fine today with cargo shorts and a Hawaiian shirt today, aong with the Berkies. Tomorrow we head up to Mt St Helens as an offsite offsite, so I’ll be wearing something a bit more on my feet.
