So it begins …
- I picked up pizza on the way home. Gotta have pizza with D&D.
- Katherine had worked out a lovely, detailed backstory for her character.
- I had found the first few episodes of a 1-30 campaign in Dungeon, “Scales of War,” that looked like a good starting point.
- Got the battle map out, the dice out, the figs out, the character sheets out, got out some Power Cards I’d done up … and we were ready to go!
- And so we went. About an hour and a half, managed some intro dialog and interaction, then — Bar brawl! Goblins! Fire! Fighting! Woot!
- Did a cliff-hanger of the next encounter. Huzzah!
- Learned about some of the strengths of our little trio — and some distinct weaknesses (yes, a band of minions can, in fact, drag you down. And lacking any sort of area attack — except for the Rogue, of all people — will be something we need to watch after.
Things I forgot:
- Giving XP.
- Taking a picture.
Looking forward to next week! Though … I may have to get the basement cleaned up so I can leave a permanent table setup. 🙂
~laughs~
It seems like it was just a couple of days ago when you said how glad you were to be gaming upstairs. 🙂
Glad that all in volved enjoyed themselves, and yes Pizza is a must.

Well, it is, in fact, more generally convenient to game upstairs. In this case, though, being able to set up and leave set up between sessions would be very handy. 🙂
