Kitty cough

Got a voice mail from the shelter that Mimi was diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection (achoo!), so rather than operating on her to fix her tomorrow, they want us to pick her up this afternoon before 6 (“Be sure and bring your receipt!”) to take her home with a 14-day course of antibiotics. Contagious to other cats, of course, though we were going to keep them separate for a few days anyway.

So I need to call them back, determine if it’s drop-dead that I have to pick her up this evening, confirm that we’ll still be able to bring her back for her spaying (since that’s included in the adoption price), etc. I think I actually can do it — leave here a bit early, swing by the house for the receipt and a cat carrier, go and pick up Katherine, go and pick up Mimi.

It’s never easy, right?
