Donated blood today — my civic/social duty, plus the convenience of having the Bonfils folks coming to the office and scheduling stuff that way cannot be underestimated.
All vitals were okay — pulse 56, BP 118/72, hemocrit 47. No new embarrassing questions on the screening list (though I did once use Accutane, it was thirty years ago, so no worries, and my trip overseas was not to either Korea).
Filled the bag in 5:36, though there was a delay while she wiggled the needle a bit to get it into the blood vessel.
Sounds like a good excuse for a red, juicy steak tonight! Though I may ignore their injunction not to drink alcohol for the next 24 hours.
