Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

- Obama did not outlaw religion – he just changed Natl Prayer Day routine | csmonitor.com – Limbaugh. Is. An. Ass.
- Joe The Plumber Quitting The GOP: Time Magazine – Here’s hoping he sinks into richly deserved obscurity.
- Stanley Kutler: No More Judges on the Supreme Court – I recall Kathleen Sullivan noting that pretty much everyone nominated for some time now has been a judge of some sort. Compare to the Brown v. Boad of Ed court, where none of them had come from a primarily judicial background. Sullivan also noted that non-judges on the Court also tend to give shorter, more straightforward, more illustrative opinions, with fewer footnotes. Not a bad thing at all.

- Failure to Discriminate against Gays “Opens Gate For the Other Side” – You know, the more they fulminate about this, the more I hope that Obama does nominate a gay justice, just to watch their heads explode.
- SCOTUS Round-Up – Sorry, for all that these groups are arguing that they are all about critiquing judicial “philosophy,” it’s clear by their examples that they are all about critiquing rulings they don’t like, the path taken to get to those outcomes being irrelevant. Abortion is the perfect example of this. Not that this attitude is a monopoly of the Right.
- A shortcut of sidesteps – Massively – The idea of starting off as a more “mature” hero — especially if you’ve already done your time in the lower levels with other characters — has a lot of appeal to it.
- The American Patriot’s Bible – I’m not at all surprised by this, but I am more than a bit disgusted (as both a Christian and an American).
- Free Texture Images | the book of blog – Ooh, nice.
- Portable coil pistol – Ooooooh. Aaaaah.
