Attack the president at every turn and, y’know, the the president might think you’re an attack channel, not a news channel. Echo (and supply) talking points for the GOP, and people might think you’re an official organ of the GOP.

Maybe the FCC needs to adapt a new version of the fairness doctrine requiring media to clearly identify opinion pieces versus news pieces. That distinction seems to have disappeared, particularly for cable “news” channels. I’ve noticed that Fox and MSNBC have trouble keeping opinions out of newscasts.
