Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Obama’s subtle message to congressional Dems – It’s not too subtle if they have ears to hear it. In fact, it’s just the message they should be welcoming.
- Mitt Romney Claims That President Obama’s Words ‘Support’ 911 Truthers Abroad – Don’t let the facts get in the way of your truth, Mitt.
- Humanist Arrested for Anti-Islam Book : Dispatches from the Culture Wars – The faint echoes from folks in this country who claim that criticism of Christianity is offensive, hateful, and violates their freedom of religion, is a bit chilling. - SWAT Team Serves Drug Warrant : Dispatches from the Culture Wars – Money quote: “So smoking pot = ‘child endangerment.’ Storming a home with guns, then firing bullets into the family pets as a child looks on = necessary police procedures to ensure everyone’s safety.”
- ‘What kind of man is Parker Griffith?’ – The GOP continues to find new depths to sink as the party of opportunistic hypocrisy. The word almost loses meaning, so often is it applicable to their shenanigans.

The House had the same problem, but wisely set up rules to limit debate in 1842.
