Unblogged Bits for Tue, 16 Mar 2010, 9:01PM

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. POLL: More Than 70% Of Iraq And Afghanistan Veterans Comfortable Serving Alongside Openly Gay Troops – Whaddaya know? They’re professionals. More professional than the fearmongers on the Right give them credit for.
  2. At Least He Hasn’t Written any Hagiographies of Dick Cheney… – The man has “Do Not Feed the Trolls” practically tattooed on his forehead, and CNN is actually paying him? Yeesh.
  3. C-Span Puts Full Archive On The Web – This is what is so freaking cool about the Internet.
  4. Target And Target.com Are Not The Same Company, So Just Deal With It – I work in a large IT department with multiple groups. Sometimes someone in another group causes problems that my group has to clean up. The message that’s drummed into us is that you DON’T badmouth the other IT groups because (a) they’re your co-workers and it’s uncollegial, but, most importantly, (b) as far as the end-user is concerned, you’re all IT, so it just sounds like you’re passing the buck for their unpleasant experience. Sort of like Target here.
  5. General relativity passes a large scale test – Huzzah!
