- Cuccinelli Switches His Explanation For Censoring Virginia Seal Lapel Pins – The more you thrash around, Mr. Cuccinelli, the more you tighten the net around you.
- FOX News reports Mr. Rogers is evil – I would say that the Fox-heads here are suffering from the same (if flip-side) cognitive distortion from the students/people described. You can recognize that each person is, indeed, SPECIAL — worthy of love, care, appreciation, grace (isn't that a core message of Christianity "Fox & Friends" are busy trashing?) — without implying or asserting that therefore you don't need to work or achieve anything to get RECOGNITION for what you've worked for or achieved. There is a difference between being important and worthy, and being successful. The former is intrinsic; the latter is achieved.

Okay, I did the spinny lady test, at first going clockwise. Then I stared at her feet for a while, and she was suddenly going counterclockwise. Then I stared at her feet some more, and it looked like she was going in a figure eight.
BRAIN DAMAGE!
Heh.
It’s really not a left-right-brain thang (to the extent that that model has been largely discredited), but it’s still fun trying to get your eyeballs around it.
