The disconnect between what people think of as the Hallowed Exclusionary Zone of Ground Zero and its reality on the ground is … significant. Which makes me wonder what some folks would think is appropriate — level the site for three blocks around (existing Christian churches excluded, of course), and plant a garden of lawns, trees, and lots of statues of weeping angels?
